Welcome to the pre-order shop for Battle Ravens! If you missed our successful Kickstarter campaign, you can pre-order Battle Ravens here. The core game includes Norse and Anglo-Saxon armies, and you can add Norman, Scottish, and Welsh armies as additional purchases.
Battle Ravens is designed by Daniel Mersey (Lion Rampant, Dux Bellorum, Song of Arthur and Merlin), and the armies are illustrated by renowned military artist Peter Dennis.
We expect shipping to take place in April 2019.

It has been so nice reading reviews and watching videos of people playing or talking about Battle Ravens and enjoying it. We are over halfway through the campaign and still getting to read nice things and thought it would be good to share them with you.

Stretch goals 2 and 3 unlocked!

Wow, thanks everyone – we’ve had a host of new backers coming aboard our Battle Ravens longboat, which means that we’ve hit the targets to unlock the next two stretch goals.
The board will now be mounted (rather than printed on card), so it will look the same as you see in photos and videos of the preview copies we sent out to reviewers.
And we’re putting extra dice in the game box: the most dice you will ever need to roll at any one time is 9, so we’re increasing the number included to that. This just makes things a little more convenient as you play.
Thanks very much and let’s push on to the next stretch goal – there’s still another week to run of this campaign!
Stretch goal 1 unlocked – Tactics Cards

Stretch goal 1 has unlocked, which means that each army will include a set of its own Tactics Cards (10 for each army). Norse and Anglo-Saxon cards come in the Battle Ravens game box, and the Normans, Welsh, and Scottish armies will have cards in their army bags.
The cards are used in the game to present somewhat of a caricature of each army’s known tactics and offer an added dimension to gameplay:
Anglo-Saxon: A defensively-minded army, with strong shields and the chance to call up reserves.
Norman: An army with mounted Hirdmen, who can out-manoeuvre the enemy.
Norse: A ferocious, attack-minded army.
Scottish: A balanced army able to attack, defend and skirmish equally well.
Welsh: A skirmishing army, likely to throw javelins, but also able to compete in close combat.
